Blog Social networking

Blog Social Networking

Blog social networking is a huge community where bloggers share their opinions and visitors can interact. Generally, people associate blogs to a single individual but we have started seeing a shift in that as businesses have started taking blogs seriously and come up with their corporate blog sites.  According to 2018 data from the Content Marketing Institute, 79% of B2B companies and 70% of B2C companies have blogs.  There are a lot of reason and benefits for businesses to use blogs.

first and foremost, it helps businesses keep their audience and customers well informed.  They can promote their products or inform about any upcoming sales event or promotions directly to the audience.  Secondly, having a blog brings businesses more online traffic than those who don't.  Thirdly, in a digital world where being at the top of search engine results is valuable like a prime real estate, having blogs allows businesses to insert keywords, more specifically, long-tail keywords that are niche to businesses.

I don't believe their is a dark side of blog.  But I do have to say people have to do their due diligence when consuming information off of the internet.  There have been many case of misleading and false information being spread around and its up to people to verify the information they come across.

I think the technology of blog has peaked and its up to individuals and businesses to come up with ways to make it more efficient and effective to help achieve their goals.

Blog: Wiki So Far

Blog: Wiki So Far     Creating blog posts has been a good experience for me. I have so far created 11 blog posts and I love the process of researching and publishing my thoughts. I have given feedback to many classmates on their blog post through comments and I find it the best way to go about changing or editing wiki contents as it is a respectable approach in my opinion.      I have created numerous blog post that focus on new media and the best one I think was "Creativity and New Media". I had the freedom to create instagram story that focus on an interactive prompt where followers could respond back to me and multiple additional features that would enable me to promote products for commission.

Blog vs. Wiki

Blog vs. Wiki Blogs and wikis are web 2.0 technologies that allow creators to host an array of material from text to videos and music online.  Unlike previous web 1.0 technologies, they allow visitors to interact, contribute material and publish new content. Generally speaking a blog post is one person's opinion where people can opt in to have a discussion through comments.  It is geared towards sharing of news, knowledge or expertise.  Being a blogger with huge following allows the blogger to profit through advertisement on their blog site or by using affiliate marketing where they promote products from sponsors.   While blogs allow readers to interact with the blogger through comments it however, doesn't allow them to modify the blog posts.  And this is one key distinction between blogs and wikis.  Wikis are more collaborative due to the fact that they enable readers to modify content that are already posted or even create new content page where othe...

Blog: P2P

Blog: P2P     File sharing is distributing or providing access to digital media like computer programs, multimedia, documents or anything that is in digital format.      Peep-to-peer file sharing is when people utilize peer-to-peer networking technology to share and distribute digital media.  It allows users to access media files like books, music, movies and even video games using P2P software program.    One of the most prominent P2P software program is BitTorrent. The fact that its application enables faster download, more than 20 million people had already downloaded it back in 2005 according to Wired article. It was surprising to know that people were making a living off of patrons donation who use BitTorrent.     Another example of P2P application was Napster. It was a popular application back in 2000s where people could share files but what separated them from others was their focus on enabling users to share and listen...
